Doing some planning ahead of time has helped some. So had the fact that not as much of what I write is aimed at a con attendees anymore, at least on the younger end--that's sort of freed me up to just have fun a little, and to realize that just having fun is really the point, anyway.
I don't so much consciously care what other folks think as have these moments of self-consciousness... but I figure it's one of those things one more or less deals with and through, like the below-the-surface nervousness that goes with public speaking and similar things.
