Lots of the really good artists I know do the same thing. They look on their works and despair about the mammoth's ear being out of proportion and misplaced, while the rest of us are going, "Wow! Look at that amazing Ice Age diorama that stretches for 12 feet!", or whatever it is. Then you get off into jokes like another artist saying, straight-faced, "Are you sure the root of the tusk comes down under the zygomatic arch like that?" and then crack up at that moment of pure panic on the victim's face. Which is cue for somebody to whack somebody else and call them names, usually...
