"I write about what interests me and hope people will find it." - and if it doesn't interest me, I move on. However, I think it can be said, if X is reading this, then X is interested in it. One area of LJ I have found of great help is a specialised community. I'm seriously ill and I can say things in that community that I cannot say elsewhere, even (sometimes especially) to close family.
