As we were getting the Plague tested, we'd read over the lists of symptoms and say, "Uh huh. Yep. Seen that. Seen that *a lot*. Wow, there's an explanation for *that*?" Such a relief to know that there was a name for it, and ways of coping for him and for us as parents.
It's not a happy ending yet, but we have a happy year this year--he's in a class with a teacher who specializes in teaching kids with ADHD, and she adores the Plague and is so positive and encouraging. He tells me he loves to go to school. And I could just kiss his teacher's feet, she is made of so much awesome.
