Has it been that long?
Feb. 12th, 2008 10:40 pmI wanted to post here, quickly, because I've been getting a number of emails asking me when Cast In Fury will be published. As far as I know, it's on the schedule for October of this year, which means it can probably be found sometime in September on bookstore shelves.
There will be a fifth Elantra novel, Cast in Silence, sometime a year later (it's not finished, and not, therefore turned in, so I'm not at this moment entirely certain when). It is not planned as the final novel, but should be less world-threatening, as it involves Kaylin's past, her missing six months, and her first meeting with the Hawklord -- but it's me, and while this is all true, things will probably shift a lot in the actual writing.
I'm currently working on the second of the House War novels, which has the working title House Name.
I am currently fretting about The Hidden City, as well. I have the actual cover in hand, and it is hands down my favourite book cover ever -- the amazon.com image doesn't really do it justice. The cover is mostly a matte finish, with the title & Jewel's image in gloss; the matte brings up the subdued palette of the Stone Garden, and the overall effect is beautiful.
This is not, of course, what is making me fret. About which, more later, unless I have managed to get over it. You've been warned.

Date: 2008-02-13 08:36 pm (UTC)I'm personally very ecstatic to hear that I can expect another book in Elantra out later this year. And even more thrilled to hear there's another coming! Your Elantra novels have utterly enthralled me.

Date: 2008-02-18 12:14 am (UTC)Thank you :). And no, I don't mind strangers commenting on my LJ, which is why it's a public forum -- and even if I were of a mind to, there's nothing in your post that does anything but bring a smile to the author hind-brain :)
