I'm in the store, where we're having a signing for a YA authorial debut.

But the thing that caught my eye was: Child of Fire by Harry Connolly.

And yes, burger_eater, I did, in fact, say: OMG, Burger Eater's book is here!

And in other news, the "last chapter" of Cast in Chaos, after two chapters, really is the one I'm writing now. Honest.

Yes, that one. The end, when I finally reach the point where I don't have to lay anything else out, always seems so imminent and so clear, it's easy to forget that it's still going to take words and the structural & emotional care to make it resonate because it feels like I'm already there. Until I, you know, start actually writing those words. And that end.

But believe that there is hair-pulling and a fair amount of cursing at this end of the computer.

I lurk like it's going out of style, but I had to comment here. YES!! Another book is coming. I love this series and I have a copy of all the books currently out. Your books are like a really good desert. So filling, but I always want just a little bit more.
